Piotr was born into a family with great culinary traditions. He was very lucky to observe the cooks - his grandfather and father from an early age. The smell of the food being prepared, the clatter of a meat tenderizer, the lively screams of the kitchen crew - all this symphony accompanied him from an early age. Not standing in the way of destiny together with his brother, he also chose the profession of a cook and to this day he believes that despite many inconveniences, it is the greatest profession in the world.
He gained experience in Poland and abroad (Great Britain, France, Dominican Republic). He specializes in European cuisine - mainly Polish and French.
Currently, Piotr has returned to Poland to start his own business. You can meet him on a daily basis in Bar & Bistro Kurnik, where he is a co-owner.

We had the immense pleasure of spending 14 days in the Bieszczady Mountains with private chef Piotr Polaniecki, who, with his passion, professionalism, and dedication, elevated our trip to a whole new level. Each day began and ended with an exceptional culinary experience—from breakfasts full of fresh, local flavors to dinners composed with the utmost care. The chef demonstrated vast knowledge and creativity, ensuring that every dish was not only aesthetic and flavorful but also healthy and prepared with the highest quality ingredients—seasonal, organic, and sourced from local producers (his soups now haunt my dreams! :)
However, he is not only an outstanding cook but also an incredibly warm and kind person. During our stay, we repeatedly admired his flexibility and ability to navigate any situation—and with a large family and a bunch of kids, there was no shortage of challenges or dynamic moments! He always remained calm, smiling, and ready to adapt to the needs of our group, which gave us a complete sense of comfort.
Thanks to his presence, we could fully enjoy our time together, knowing that every meal would be exceptional and prepared with heart. This was not only a culinary but also an emotional experience—we felt cared for at the highest level.
We wholeheartedly recommend working with Mr. Piotr to anyone who values the highest quality, creativity, and a true passion for cooking. He is a person who can make any trip or gathering an unforgettable experience.
