About Chef

Marek Hapka was born in Słupsk, Poland. After graduating from vocational school with the profile of a cook, he gained his first experience in leading restaurants in his hometown. In 1997, he became a head chef for the first time at the Va Bene restaurant. After that he cooked in the same position in the restaurant Syrenka (Ustka/Poland).

At the end of 2012 Marek moved to Germany and has continued his professional career there until today. In Germany he worked, among others, in Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof 5* Business Class Hotel with Gourmet Restaurant Francais as Chef de Partie, Schlossrestaurant Romance as Chef de Cuisine, Restaurant Tafelrunde as Chef de Cuisine and in Royal Wine House and Restaurant Richard of Cornwall in Boppard as Creative Chef de Cuisine.

In the early years of his professional career Marek Hapka inspired with the classic Polish cuisine. Then, after a few years, the passionate chef developed his final, characteristic style. Currently, it is modern cuisine focused on intense flavors. One can say that it is a combination of Polish haute cuisine with elements of international cuisine. The dishes and their creations are made with great perfection, have an artisan character and are presented with great attention to detail.
