About Chef

Roman is a chef with many years of experience. He graduated from the University of Hotel Management and Gastronomy in Poznań. He gained experience abroad, incl. he completed an internship in the French Alps, where after 4 months he became sous-chef and after a year he was promoted to the position of chef. Then he went to Sardinia, where he experienced the amazing adventure of catching fresh fish and seafood - he worked there as a sous-chef for a year. He returned to Poznań to climb up in gastronomy.

He is currently the head chef at Port Sołacz Poznań Restaurant, which received a recommendation from the Michelin Guide in 2024.

Roman is a finalist of many national and international competitions, such as Bocuse D'or Ukraine. He professes a culinary philosophy: "Always do what no one has ever combined or done before and finish it so that butterflies start flying in your mouth."

Roman lives with the kitchen and cannot imagine himself without kitchen and kitchen without him. He loves to cook and bring joy to people through food. He prefers the zero waste principle and combining and discovering new flavors. Roman's story is just beginning, he is training every day and gaining new experience. He wants to mix his guests' taste guests so that they remember him for a long time and want even more.

Catering Wielkanocny - Doceniam elastyczność chefa i tego, że podjął się zlecenia indywidualnego. Fantastycznie, że dopasował się do tego aby się z nami spotkać na trasie. Wszystko zapakowane hermetycznie i bezpiecznie. Smakowo - jedynie bigos okazał się bardzo silny, “przywędzony”. Bardzo dobre pasztety, pyszna biała kiełbaska. Mazurek cudo i baba również. Bardzo smaczne.

Chef Roman provided us with delicious dishes for Christmas. The cream of mushroom soup, borscht and dumplings and bigos were excellent. The meats and side dishes (potato gratin and Silesian noodles) were also delicious. We will certainly use the opportunity to order catering from Chef Roman again.

Thank you for the delicacies for Christmas. Everything tasty, we especially enjoyed the homemade pate, fish and brioche. Besides, the duck legs with crispy skin were the hit of the Christmas dinner.

+ very tasty bigos, dumplings also delicious ( the family especially liked the dough) - Unfortunately, the roulade was too dry (meat), I suggest not decorating it, because when moving it to the plate from the container, the whole decoration simply falls apart

Roman was great and thanks to him, our company Christmas party was a great success! The food was delicious, the presentation better than in most restaurants and he himself was both discreet so the guests could enjoy the evening, while being available when we had questions regarding his art. Roman even adapted the menu to vegetarian and vegan guests in an excellent way. Despite a limited communication in English, all went smoothly, including the preparation leading to the evening. I warmly recommend Roman and will think of him again for our next event. Thank you so much!

Brilliant Chef! The food was insane, the atmosphere was soothing and the evening was unforgettable. The organization of the event was completely stress-free, the service and the culinary workshops conducted delighted the guests. Definitely Chef worthy of recommendation! We are very satisfied with the cuisine and service of Mr. Serdiuk, everything very good, nicely served, service of dishes at the right time. In addition, he cut and served the cake and made snacks at the end:) Thank you very much ☺️ we were very pleased on the day of our daughter's Baptism. ☺️ Recommended!
