About Chef

Jose is a chef with 12 years of experience, he gained experience in restaurants in many different countries, including in London, Iceland, Spain and now in Switzerland.

He worked as a cook at the La Hoja 21 restaurant in Salamanca, the Mexsia restaurant in Santander and as Chef de partie, among others. at the Hilton sa Torre hotel in Mallorca, where the menu is created by Madrid's gastro-botanical chef Rodrigo de la Calle, whose Madrid restaurant El Invernadero was awarded a Michelin star, and from 2021 in Switzerland at Wermut Bar and Blaue Ente Restaurant in Zurich. From 2021, he is also a permanent cook for the family in a private home.

He has completed various culinary courses, e.g. in Postgraduate studies in gastronomy and Basic kitchen procedures in Salamanca in 2014 and in 2016 the course Introduction to sous-vide by Tony Botella.

Chef Jose Martin specializes mainly in Mediterranean cuisine, he also prepares dishes with elements of Oriental and Asian cuisine. He also cooks Mexican, Moroccan and Swiss dishes. He focuses on making his dishes healthy, but always full of flavor.

He describes himself as a friendly, open and communicative person, creative, cheerful and very authentic. Jose performs his work with due diligence and concentration, he is a lover of food and finds maximum joy in cooking.
